LRFN3 Antibody: LRFN3 is one of a family of five transmembrane glycoproteins that are highly expressed in neuronal tissues. LRFN proteins share leucine-rich repeat (LRR)-immunoglobulin-like (Ig)-fibronectin type III (Fn)-transmembrane domain structure with other members of the LRR-Ig-Fn protein superfamily such as the Slitrk family of proteins. Expression of LRFN1, -3, and -4 mRNA was detected in embryonic neuronal cells, while Lrfn2 and Lrfn5 expression was primarily restricted to more mature cells. LRFN1, -2, and -4 bound to PDZ domains of postsynaptic PSD95, re-distributing PSD95 to the cell periphery. It has been suggested that the Lrfn proteins play a role in the developing and/or mature vertebrate nervous system.

Structural diversity is introduced by alternative splicing resulting in different cytoplasmic domains. PSA (polysialic acid) post-translationally modifies NCAM and increases the metastatic potential of small cell lung carcinoma, Wilms+ tumor, neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. CD56 and CD16 are commonly used to identify NK cells although some cells with the T cell markers CD3 and CD4 also express CD56.

The inflammasome is a multiprotein complex that mediates the activation of caspase-1, which promotes, amongst others, the secretion of the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1beta and IL-18. Members of the Nod-like receptor (NLR) family are critical components of the inflammasome that link danger-signals to caspase-1 activation. A member of the NLR family, NAIP5 directly and specifically interacts with flagellin, triggers a physical NAIP5-NLRC4 association leading to NLRC4 activation. Ephrin Type-A Receptor 7 (EPHA7) is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the Eph family of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases. It contains two fibronectin type-III domains, one protein kinase domain and one SAM (sterile alpha motif) domain. EPHA7 is a receptor for members of the ephrin-A family. Eph receptors are largely expressed throughout the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm of vertebrate embryos.
