E-Cadherin is a classical member of the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein composed of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. Mutations in this gene are correlated with gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid, and ovarian cancers. Loss of function is thought to contribute to progression in cancer by increasing proliferation, invasion, and/or metastasis. The ectodomain of this protein mediates bacterial adhesion to mammalian cells, and the cytoplasmic domain is required for internalization. Identified transcript variants arise from mutation at consensus splice sites. Also, E-Cadherin has a potent invasive suppressor role and it is a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7.

Syndecan-1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the syndecan proteoglycan family. The syndecans mediate cell binding, cell signaling, and cytoskeletal organization and syndecan receptors are required for internalization of the HIV-1 tat protein. Human SDC1 is synthesized as a 310 amino acid precursor that contains a 22 amino acid signal sequence, and a 288 amino acid mature chain. The Syndecan-1 protein functions as an integral membrane protein and participates in cell proliferation, cell migration and cell-matrix interactions via its receptor for extracellular matrix proteins. Altered Syndecan-1 expression has been detected in several different tumor types.

SH3BP4 Antibody: SH3BP4 was initially isolated as a novel cDNA using differential display analysis using cultured human corneal fibroblasts. The protein contains three Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, an SH3 domain, a PXXP motif, a bipartite nuclear targeting signal, and a tyrosine phosphorylation site. SH3BP4 has been shown to interact with specific endocytic proteins such as clathrin, dynamin, and the transferrin receptor (TfR) and localizes to TfR-containing coated pits and vesicles. It is thought to be involved in cargo-specific control of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, specifically controlling the internalization of TfR. At least two isoforms of SH3BP4 are known to exist.

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, α, β and γ have been identified. The α actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. Actin, γ 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in nonmuscle cells.

Human protein N-terminal glutamine amidohydrolase (WDYHV1) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the WDYHV1 gene, belongs to the NTAQ1 family.WDYHV1 mediates the side-chain deamidation of N-terminal glutamine residues to glutamate, which is an important step in N-end rule pathway of protein degradation. Conversion of the resulting N-terminal glutamine to glutamate renders the protein susceptible to arginylation, polyubiquitination and degradation as specified by the N-end rule. However,it does not act on substrates with internal or C-terminal glutamine andnon-glutamine residues in any position. With the exception of proline, all tested second-position residues on substrate peptides do not greatly influence the activity. In contrast, a proline at position 2, virtually abolishes deamidation of N-terminal glutamine.

RSPO1 Antibody: RSPO1 is a member of a family of secreted growth factors that can operate through the canonical Wnt signaling pathway by stabilizing the intracellular beta-catenin, thereby regulating functions mediated by beta-catenin such as cell fate decisions and embryonic patterning. RSPO1 was recently identified through linkage analysis to be involved in sex determination and mammalian ovarian development. RSPO1 is thought to regulate cellular responsiveness to Wnt ligands by modulating the cell-surface expression of the Wnt co-receptor LRP6 by interfering with the DKK/Kremen-mediated internalization of LRP6 through an interaction with Kremen, resulting in increased LRP6 cell-surface levels. At least two isoforms of RSPO1 are known to exist. RSPO1 antibody will not cross-react with RSPO family members.

Folate Receptor 1 (FOLR1) is also known as Folate receptor alpha, Folate Binding Protein (FBP), FOLR, and is a member of the folate receptor (FOLR) family. Members of this gene family have a high affinity for folic acid and for several reduced folic acid derivatives, and mediate delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate to the interior of cells. Mature FOLR1 is an N-glycosylated protein that is anchored to the cell surface by a GPI linkage. FOLR1 is predominantly expressed on epithelial cells and is dramatically upregulated on many carcinomas. FOLR1 is internalized to the endosomal system where it dissociates from its ligand before recycling to the cell surface. A soluble form of FOLR1 can be proteolytically shed from the cell surface into the serum and breast milk. Defects in FOLR1 are the cause of neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency (NCFTD). NCFTD is an autosomal recessive disorder resulting from brain-specific folate deficiency early in life.
