SOCS family proteins form part of a classical negative feedback system that regulates cytokine signal transduction. SOCS1 is involved in negative regulation of cytokines that signal through the JAK/STAT3 pathway. Through binding to JAKs, inhibits their kinase activity. In vitro, also suppresses Tec protein-tyrosine activity. Appears to be a major regulator of signaling by interleukin 6 (IL6) and leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF). Regulates interferon-gamma mediated sensory neuron survival (By similarity). Probable substrate recognition component of an ECS (Elongin BC-CUL2/5-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Seems to recognize JAK2. SOCS1 appears to be a negative regulator in IGF1R signaling pathway.

The preB cell receptor is found on the surface of proB and preB cells, where it is involved in transduction of signals for cellular proliferation, differentiation from the proB cell to the preB cell stage, allelic exclusion at the Ig heavy chain gene locus, and promotion of Ig light chain gene rearrangements. The preB cell receptor is composed of a membrane-bound Ig mu heavy chain in association with a heterodimeric surrogate light chain. This gene encodes one of the surrogate light chain subunits and is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily. This gene does not undergo rearrangement. Mutations in this gene can result in B cell deficiency and agammaglobulinemia, an autosomal recessive disease in which few or no gamma globulins or are made. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

JAK2 (Janus Activating Kinase 2) is a tyrosine kinase of the non-receptor type, that associates with the intracellular domains of cytokine receptors; JAK2 is the predominant JAK kinase activated in response to several growth factors and cytokines such as IL-3, GM-CSF and erythropoietin; it has been found to be constitutively associated with the prolactin receptor and is required for responses to gamma interferon. Ligand binding to a variety of cell surface receptors (e.g., cytokine, growth factor, GPCRs) leads to an association of those receptors with JAK proteins, which are then activated via phosphorylation on tyrosines 1007 and 1008 in the kinase activation loop. Activated JAK proteins phosphorylate and activate STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) proteins, which then dimerize and translocate to the nucleus. Once in the nucleus, STAT proteins bind to DNA and modify the transcription of various genes.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian central nervous system. GABA exerts its effects through ionotropic [GABA(A/C)] receptors, to produce fast synaptic inhibition, and metabotropic [GABA(B)] receptors, to produce slow, prolonged inhibitory signals. The GABA(B) receptor consists of a heterodimer of two related 7-transmembrane receptors, GABA(B) receptor 1 and GABA(B) receptor 2. The GABA(B) receptor 1 gene is mapped to chromosome 6p21.3 within the HLA class I region close to the HLA-F gene. Susceptibility loci for multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and schizophrenia have also been mapped in this region. Alternative splicing of this gene generates multiple transcript variants. Stimulating T cells with BKV (LT) Peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. BKV Peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 171 peptides from the Large T (LT) antigen of BK polyomavirus (BKV), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 695 on LT antigen. LT antigen is an early viral protein (Low et al.) that contributes to the transformation and maintenance of host cells (Nakshatri et al.). It has been found to bind to a subset of tumor suppressor proteins (Harris et al.), and its co-expression with p53 has been observed in polyomavirus-associated nephropathy (Seemayer et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Casein kinase I (also designated CKI) and casein kinase II (CKII) compose a family of serine/threonine protein kinases which are present in all eukaryotes examined to date. Casein kinase I family members, which include casein kinase I Alpha, I Gamma, I Delta and I Epsilon, have been implicated in the control of cytoplasmic and nuclear processes, including DNA replication and repair, membrane trafficking, circadian rhythm, cell cycle progression, chromosome segregation, apoptosis and cellular differentiation. Casein kinase I isoform alpha-like (CSNK1A1L) is a 337 amino acid protein that shares a high degree of sequence similarity with the alpha isoform of casein kinase 1. CSNK1A1L resides in the cytoplasm and participates in the Wnt signaling pathway. By utilizing ATP within its protein kinase domain, CSNK1A1L phosphorylates a large number of proteins.

The 17A2 antibody reacts with the mouse CD3 complex, comprised of CD3 epsilon, CD3 gamma and CD3 delta. These integral membrane protein chains assemble with additional chains of the T cell receptor (TCR), as well as CD3 zeta chain, to form the T cell receptor – CD3 complex. Together with co-receptors CD4 or CD8, the complex serves to recognize antigens bound to MHC molecules on antigen-presenting cells. Such interactions promote T cell receptor signaling (T cell activation) and can result in a number of cellular responses including proliferation, differentiation, production of cytokines or activation-induced cell death. CD3 is differentially expressed during thymocyte-to-T cell development and on all mature T cells.

Stimulating T cells with SARS-CoV-2 (Spike Protein) Delta/B.1.617.2 Mutation Peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. This peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 27 peptides from the spike glycoprotein of the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant (B.1.617.2) that selectively cover the mutated regions in the spike protein. Through interactions with the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor, the spike protein enables the virus to attach to the cell membrane, and plays a critical role in viral entry (Hoffmann et al.; Walls et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

HHV8 (K8.1) Peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 55 peptides from glycoprotein K8.1 of human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 228 on K8.1. Expressed in the late-lytic phase, K8.1 is a viral envelope protein that binds to heparin sulfate on the cell surface and facilitates HHV 8 infection (Zoeteweij et al; Birkmann et al.; Wang et al.). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.
