Beschreibung:   Sethoxydim ist ein selektives systemisches Cyclohexandionoxim-Herbizid, das hauptsächlich durch das Laub und in geringerem Maße durch die Wurzeln absorbiert wird. Es handelt sich um einen Inhibitor der Acetyl-CoA-Carboxylase (ACCase), der den Einbau von Acetat in Fettsäuren hemmt und die Bildung von Phospholipiden stört, die zum Aufbau neuer Membranen verwendet werden. Es wird zur Bekämpfung ein- und mehrjähriger Ungräser (außer <i>Poa spp.</i>) in breitblättrigen Nutzpflanzen wie Baumwolle, Raps, Sojabohnen, Zuckerrüben, Futterrüben, Sonnenblumen, Spinat, Kartoffeln, Tabak, Erdnüssen, Erdbeeren, Luzerne, Flachs und Gemüse eingesetzt. Sethoxydim ist gemäß der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1107/2009 zur Aufhebung der Richtlinie 91/414/EWG nicht zur Verwendung als Pflanzenschutzmittel in der Europäischen Union (EU) zugelassen. Für das Vorhandensein von Sethoxydim, ausgedrückt als Summe von Sethoxydim und Clethodim einschließlich ihrer Abbauprodukte, sind jedoch gemäß der EU-Verordnung Nr. 839/2008 maximale Rückstandsmengen von 0,05 bis 10 mg/kg in Produkten pflanzlichen und tierischen Ursprungs zulässig.
