Storage phosphor screens capture latent images produced by ionising radiation (X-ray, β, and γ emissions from isotopes such as <sup>14</sup>C, <sup>3</sup>H, <sup>125</sup>I, <sup>131</sup>I, <sup>32</sup>P, <sup>35</sup>S, <sup>33</sup>P, and more.). Upon laser-induced stimulation, light is emitted from the storage phosphor screen in proportion to the amount of radioactivity in the sample. The resulting digital image allows for quantitation of subtle signal intensity differences over a wide dynamic range using storage phosphor imaging systems such as Typhoon, Storm, and PhosphorImager. Typically, 50% to 90% less exposure time is required compared with an equivalent exposure to conventional film. Publication quality images are often obtained in a single exposure. They are reusable and are not degraded by repeated exposure to laboratory levels of radioactivity.

Cadherin-6 (CDH6) is a type-II classic cadherin cell-cell adhesion molecules, which are expressed in graded or areal patterns, as well as layer-specific patterns, in the cortical plate. Human Cadherin-6 is synthesized as a 790 aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 18 aa signal peptide, a 35 aa propeptide, a 562 aa extracellular region, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 154 aa cytoplasmic domain. There are five cadherin domains of approximately 110 aa each in the extracellular region. Cadherin-6 has high expression in kidney, brain, and cerebellum, and may contribute to the formation of the segmental structure of the early brain, as well as the development of renal proximal tubules. Weak expression is also detected in lung, pancreas, gastric mucosa and cytotrophoblasts. As a classic cadherin, Cadherin-6 will form homodimers and promote intercellular adhesion with itself and, possibly, Cadherin-9 and -14.

They are also involved in activities that extend beyond their ability to inhibit proteases. For instance, they may also regulate blood pressure, angiogenesis, or act as storage/transport proteins. Serpin F1 is a new promising approach for the treatment of osteosarcoma and has been described as a natural angiogenesis inhibitor with neurotrophic and immune-modulation properties. The human serpin superfamily consists of at least 35 members that target not only serine proteases, but also selected cysteine proteases and non-protease proteins. Levels of the natural ocular anti-angiogenic factor SentrinF1 (PEDF) is associated with proliferative retinopathy.

LFG Antibody: Programmed cell death regulates a number of biological processes such as normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. LFG is a recently identified protein that can inhibit the apoptotic signal transduced by the Fas receptor but not from the related tumor necrosis factor-alpha death signal. In this respect, LFG is functionally similar to the anti-apoptotic proteins FAIM, FLIP and Bcl-xL. LFG, a seven membrane spanning protein, can bind the Fas receptor but does not regulate Fas expression or inhibit binding of FADD to Fas. LFG is widely distributed, but highly expressed in the hippocampus and other neural tissues. LFG was also identified as the neural membrane protein 35 (NMP35) and its expression is known to be regulated by the Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-Akt/PKB pathway.

Serpin A5 is a member of the human Serpin superfamily consists of at least 35 members. It is synthesized in the liver and has been detected in saliva, cerebral spinal fluid, amniotic fluid, tears and semen. As a potent inhibitor of the protein C anticoagulant pathway at the levels of both zymogen activation and enzyme inhibition, Serpin A5 additionally inhibits a variety of serine protease including thrombin, factor Xa, several kallekreins and acrosin. It plays a critical role in the processes of blood of blood coagulation and fertilization. Serpin A5 also inhibits urinary plasminogen activator (uPA), a mediator of tumor cell invasion, and regulates tumor growth and metastasis by inhibiting angiogenesis. Furthermore, recent studies have identified PCI as a potent and direct inhibitor of activated HGFA (hepatocyte growth factor activator), suggesting a novel function in the regulation of tissue repair and regeneration. Similar to Serpins C1 and D1, the thrombin inhibitory activity of serpinA5 is enhanced by heparin.
