Plays an important role in generating the circadian rhythm of the aortic myofilament Ca(2+) sensitivity and vascular contractility by modulating the myosin light chain phosphorylation.

ORAI3 Antibody: Antigen stimulation of immune cells triggers Ca++ entry through Ca++ release-activated Ca++ (CRAC) channels. ORAI3 is one of two mammalian homologs to ORAI1, a recently identified four-transmembrane spanning protein that is an essential component of CRAC. All three homologs have been shown to function as Ca++ plasma membrane channels gated through interactions with STIM1, the store-activated endoplasmic reticulum Ca++ sensor. However, ORAI3 channels failed to produce detectable Ca++ selective currents in cells co-transfected with ORAI3 and STIM1, indicating that ORAI3 channels undergo a lesser degree of depotentiation than ORAI1 or ORAI2. Na+ currents through ORAI1, 2 and 3 channels were equally inhibited by extracellular Ca++, indicating that each have similar affinities for Ca++ within the selectivity filter. This antibody is predicted to have no cross-reactivity to ORAI1 or ORAI2.

Members of the calsyntenin protein family are localised to the post-synaptic membrane of exicitatory central nervous system (CNS) synapses. Calsyntenin-1, also known as CSTN1, PIK3CD, Alzheimer-related cadherin-like protein, non-classical cadherin XB31alpha, KIAA0911, ALC-ALPHA, alcalpha1, alcalpha2 or FLJ32258, is a 981 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that localizes to the membrane of endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, cell projections and postsynaptic cells. Expressed in brain, calsyntenin-1 is also found at lower levels in placenta, skeletal muscle, heart and kidney. Calsyntenin-1 binds synaptic Ca²⁺ with its cytoplasmic domain and plays a role in extracellular proteolysis. Calsyntenin-1 is also known to form a complex with X11 Beta and APP to suppress the metabolic cleavage of APP, and docks vesicular cargo to KLC1. Calsyntenin-1 may be related to the development or progression of Alzheimer's disease, and two calsyntenin-1 isoforms are produced as a result of alternative splicing events.

Replication factor C (RFC) is an essential DNA polymerase accessory protein that is required for numerous aspects of DNA metabolism, including DNA replication, DNA repair and telomere metabolism. RFC is a heteropentameric complex that recognizes a primer on a template DNA, binds to a primer terminus and loads proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) onto DNA at primer-template junctions in an ATP-dependent reaction. All five of the RFC subunits share a set of related sequences (RFC boxes) that include nucleotide-binding consensus sequences. Four of the five RFC genes (including RFC1, RFC2, RFC3 and RFC4) have consensus ATP-binding motifs. The small RFC proteins, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5, interact with Rad24, whereas the RFC1 subunit does not. RFC1 is a substrate for caspase-3 in vitro and is cleaved by a caspase-3-like protease during FAS-mediated apoptosis. In addition, phosphorylation of the PCNA binding domain of RFC1 by Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) inhibits DNA synthesis. The human RFC1 gene maps to chromosome 4p14 and encodes the RFC1 subunit.
