ADCK2 (aarF domain containing kinase 2), also known as AARF, is a 626 amino acid single-pass membrane protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily and the ADCK protein kinase family. The ADCK family consists of five paralogs in human (ADCK1-5). Encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 7q34, ADCK2 contains one protein kinase domain. ADCK2 participates in ATP and nucleotide binding, transferase functions and protein serine/threonine kinase activities. Expression of ADCK2 inversely correlates with cellular viability, suggesting elevated expression of ADCK2 may be essential for tumour survival. ADCK2 is necessary for cell proliferation of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a fatal primary brain tumor containing countless genetic and epigenetic alterations.

SMARCD3, is a member of the SMARCD family and contains one SWIB domain. Two isoforms, isoform 1 and isoform 2 exist due to alternative splicing events. Both isoforms are expressed in placenta, salivary gland, kidney, brain, trachea, uterus, prostate, testis, thyroid, spleen and heart, while isoform 1 is also expressed in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle. Localizing to the nucleus, SMARCD3 is a component of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and is believed to play a role in nucleosome remodeling. SMARCD3 also plays an important role in the regulation of muscle development. In mice, the silencing of the gene en-coding SMARCD3 leads to defects in heart morphogenesis. In addition, both isoforms of SMARCD3 directly interact with and function as coactivators for several transcription factors.

Advillin is an 819 amino acid protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and the cytoskeleton and contains one HP domain and six gelsolin-like repeats. Expressed at high levels in colon and small intestine and at lower levels in uterus, thymus, testis and prostate, advillin functions as a calcium-regulated Actin-binding protein that may be involved in the development of neuronal cells, specifically those that form ganglia. The gene encoding advillin maps to human chromosome 12, which encodes over 1,100 genes and comprises approximately 4.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 12 is associated with a variety of diseases and afflictions, including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Noonan syndrome and Trisomy 12p, which causes facial developmental defects and seizure disorders.

This MAb reacts specifically with heat shock protein HSP27 in human and monkey tissues and cell lines such as MCF-7. HSP27, also referred to as the Estrogen-Regulated 24K protein and HSP28, is one of several small heat shock proteins produced by all organisms studied. HSP27 synthesis is induced by elevated temperature, as well as by estrogen in hormone responsive cells. Interestingly, human HSP27 also shares greater than 50% homology with low molecular weight Drosophila HSPs and mammalian α-crystalline lens protein. Because of the estrogen responsive nature of HSP27, this protein has been studied extensively in human estrogen responsive tissues such as cervix, endometrium and breast tissue. Therefore HSP27 may be useful in classifying various hormone sensitive tumors.

GLP-1 belongs to the class of molecules known as the incretins, which are associated with insulin secreted from the pancreas as a result of food intake. GLP-1 also inhibits glucagon and gastric acid secretion and gastric emptying. Consequently, the role of GPR120 in the secretion of GLP-1 is critical in the treatment of diabetes.

Repression of ZNF266 results in the blocking of erythroid differentiation and partial blocking of megakaryocytic differentiation, possibly indicating a role in the differentiation of erythroids and megakaryocytes.
