The GL-1 monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with the mouse B7-2 (also known as CD86), a costimulatory molecule expressed by B and T lymphocytes, macrophages (thioglycollate-induced from peritoneum), astrocytes and dendritic cells. The memory CD4+ T lymphocytes express CD86 (as mRNA and protein). CD86, and the B7-1 (CD 80) molecule, are ligands for CD152 and CD28, and influence the costimulatory interactions between lymphocytes B and T. B7-2 is also involved in the mouse natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The GL-1 antibody blocks the mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) and inhibits the T-cells stimulation by antigen-presenting cells. Mixtures of anti-B7-1 antibody and GL-1 were reported to inhibit the interaction between CD125 and its ligand with the in vivo priming of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

CMV (IE-1) peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 120 peptides from the immediate early protein IE1 (IE1) of human cytomegalovirus (CMV; strain AD169), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 491 on IE1. CMV IE1 is a transcriptional transactivator and autoregulator (Cherrington and Mocarski). Studies show that IE1 promotes viral transcription by antagonizing histone deacetylation (Nevels <i>et al.</i>) and, along with IE2, may contribute to the survival of CMV-infected cells by blocking tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)-induced apoptosis (Zhu <i>et al.</i>). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

Zweiköpfige, trockenlaufende Membranpumpe mit integriertem Selbsttrocknungssystem. Die Pumpe findet in Laboratorien besonders dort Anwendung, wo ein sauberes Vakuum benötigt wird und feuchte Gase zu evakuieren sind, z.B. bei der Vakuumtrocknung an Vakuum-Trockenschränken (für das Trocknen oder Wärmebehandeln von Substanzen oder Bauteilen) oder an Dampfsterilisatoren bei der Sterilisation von Instrumenten, Gefäßen, Filtern und Textilien. Aufgrund ihrer hohen Resistenz gegen aggressive Medien ist sie universell einsetzbar. Durch eine patentierte spannungsoptimierte Membran mit PTFE-Beschichtung wird die Baugröße der Pumpe verringert und die Lebensdauer der Membran verlängert. Das innovative Trocknungssystem ermöglicht es, während des Evakuierens Kondensatflüssigkeit mit hoher Geschwindigkeit aus den Pumpenköpfen zu blasen. Das Vakuum im Rezipienten bleibt konstant. Der Trocknungszyklus lässt sich über drei Variablen individuell auf die Erfordernisse eines Prozesses abstimmen. Die Pumpe erreicht nach der Trocknung ein besseres Vakuum und vermag deutlich schneller zu evakuieren als Pumpen ohne Trocknungssystem.

With two nuclear localization signals, L2 may enter the nuclei of host cells via several import pathways mediated by Kap α2β1 heterodimers, Kap β2, and Kap β (Klucevsek <i>et al.</i>). L2 can also assemble into virus-like particles, and may have a role in encapsidation (Stauffer <i>et al.</i>). Expressed during VZV latency and reactivation (Lungu <i>et al.</i>), IE63 demonstrates repressive activity in both the cytoplasm and nucleus of infected cells (Bontems <i>et al.</i>). Host interferon alpha (IFN-α) activity is inhibited by VZV IE63, which likely contributes to VZV pathogenesis (Ambagala and Cohen). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.
