α-Chymotrypsin is a serine peptidase and has 241 amino acid residues contained in three polypeptide chains (A chain-13 residues, B chain-131 residues, and C chain-97 residues) linked by disulfide bridges. Molecular weight of this enzyme is found to be 25 kDa. Its pI is 8,75. It selectively hydrolyses peptide bonds on the C-terminal side of tyrosine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, and leucine. Ca²⁺ activates and stabilizes the enzyme. The enzyme is inhibited by diisopropyl fluorophosphate (DFP), phenylmethanesulfonyl fluoride (PMSF), N-p-tosyl-L-phenylalanine chloromethyl ketone (TPCK), chymostatin, aprotinin, α1-antitrypsin, α2-macroglobulin, 10 mM Cu²⁺ and Hg²⁺.A serine protease that hydrolyzes peptide bonds with aromatic or large hydrophobic side chains (Tyr, Trp, Phe, Met, Leu) on the carboxyl end of the bond.

Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. Carbonic anhydrase IX is a transmembrane protein and is one of only two tumor-associated carbonic anhydrase isoenzymes known. It is expressed in all clear-cell renal cell carcinoma, but is not detected in normal kidney or most other normal tissues. It may be involved in cell proliferation and transformation. [RefSeq].

RCAN2 Antibody: Regulator of calcineurin 2 (RCAN2), also known as ZAKI4 and DSCR1L1, is expressed as two isoforms differing at their N-terminus. The longer of the two (isoform 1) is expressed exclusively in the brain, while isoform 2 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest expression in brain, heart, and muscle. Both isoforms bind to the catalytic subunit of calcineurin, a Ca++-dependent protein phosphatase involved in several neuronal functions, though their C-terminal region and inhibit calcineurin's activity. Unlike isoform 1 of RCAN2, the expression of the second isoform is not induced by the thyroid hormone T3. RCAN2 is a member of a family of three endogenous calcineurin regulators that are located near the minimal supernumerary fragment of chromosome 21 in individuals with Down syndrome, suggesting that they play a role in this syndrome. Multiple isoforms of RCAN2 are known to exist.

Two chains of the factor are held together by 1 or more disulfide bonds; the light chain contains 2 EGF-like domains, while the heavy chain contains the catalytic domain which is structurally homologous to those of the other hemostatic serine proteases. The mature factor is activated by the cleavage of the activation peptide by factor IXa (in the intrisic pathway), or by factor VIIa (in the extrinsic pathway). EPAC1 Antibody: EPAC1, also known as Rap guanine nuclear exchange factor 3 and cAMPGEF-I, is widely expressed but most prominently in brain, heart, kidney, pancreas, spleen, ovary, thyroid and spinal cord. EPAC1 is a cAMP-binding protein with intrinsic guanine nuclear exchange factor activity that couples cAMP production to the activation of Rap, a GTPase belonging to the Ras family. This activation of Rap influences numerous cellular processes such as integrin-mediated cell adhesion, vascular endothelial barrier formation, and cardiac myocyte gap junction formation. Recently, EPAC1 has been suggested to also be involved in the cAMP-dependent regulation of ion channel formation, intracellular Ca++ signalling, ion transporter activity, and exocytosis.
