CD4 is a 59 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein that expressed on the surface of most of the thymocytes, T-helper cells, and in low levels on monocytes and macrophages. CD4 is a co-receptor in the antigen-induced T cell activation, together with the MHC class II. The RPA-T4 antibody is capable of blocking HIV binding and inhibiting syncytium formation, by binding to the D1 domain of the CD4 antigen. The OKT4 and the RPA-T4 monoclonal antibodies recognize different epitopes of CD4 and they do not exhibit cross-block binding.

In these tumors, PIWI-L2 silences the expression of STAT3, a regulator of Bcl-XL and cyclin D1, allowing the proliferation and survival of breast cancer stem cells. PLAC1 Antibody: PLAC1 was initially identified as a protein expressed specifically in the placenta and other cells derived from the trophoblast lineage during embryonic development, but has also been found to be expressed ectopically in a wide range of human malignancies, particularly breast cancers. PLAC1 is a membrane-associated protein that is thought to serve a receptor-like function modulating cell-cell or ligand receptor interactions unique to the maternal-placental interface. Decreased expression of PLAC1 is associated with decreased expression of cyclin D1 and reduced expression of AKT kinase, which, combined with the fact that PLAC1 is expressed on the surface of cancer cells, suggests that PLAC1 may be an effective candidate for immunotherapeutic treatments of cancer.

Members of the dickkopf-related protein family (DKK-1, -2, -3, and -4) are secreted proteins with two cysteine-rich domains separated by a linker region. And DKK3 has been proposed as tumour suppressor gene and a marker for tumour blood vessels. DKK3 is the only DKK family member abundantly expressed in normal lung, but silenced by promoter hypermethylation in a large fraction of lung cancer cell lines and lung tumors. Downregulation of DKK3 was correlated with tumor progression and expression of nuclear beta-catenin in lung tumors. Ectopic expression of DKK3 in lung cancer cells with DKK3 hypermethylation induced apoptosis and inhibited TCF-4 activity as well as nuclear accumulation of beta-catenin and expression of TCF-4 targets c-Myc and cyclin D1. DKK3 modulates FGF and Activin/Nodal signaling to regulate mesoderm induction during early Xenopus development, was reported.
