ST8SIA1 is a sialytransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to GM3 to produce GD3 and GT3. Beschreibung: Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 21 (TNFRSF21) is a type I transmembrane receptor that includes four extracellular cysteine-rich motifs and a cytoplasmic death domain. DR6 is highly expressed in heart, brain, placenta, pancreas, lymph node, thymus and prostate. DR6 may activate NF-kappa-B and JNK to promote apoptosis and T-cell differentiation. In addition, DR6 binds with N-APP, which is released by the deprivation of Trophic-factor. It triggers caspase activation and degeneration of both neuronal cell bodies (via caspase-3) and axons (via caspase-6). DR6 is also expressed on the tumor cell lines and can be induced by TNF- alpha.

Beschreibung: The alpha-actinins are a multigene family of four actin-binding proteins related to dystrophin. The two skeletal muscle isoforms of alpha-actinin (ACTN2 and ACTN3) are major structural components of the Z-line involved in anchoring the actin-containing thin filaments. In humans, ACTN2 is expressed in all muscle fibres, while ACTN3 expression is restricted to a subset of type 2 fibres. Beschreibung: IL-34 Antibody: Interleukin-34 (IL-34) was identified through a functional screening of a library of secreted proteins after transfection of an embryonic kidney cell line with recombinant cDNAs. Flow cytometry and monocyte viability assays demonstrated increased survival and/or proliferation of monocytes induced by IL-34 and specific binding of IL-34 to CD14+ monocytes. Wybutosine (yW) is a hypermodified guanosine at the 3-prime position adjacent to the anticodon of phenylalanine tRNA that stabilizes codon-anticodon interactions during decoding on the ribosome. TYW2 is involved in a multistep enzymatic reaction that stabilizes codon-anticodon base-pairing during the ribosomal decoding process, thereby ensuring correct translation. TYW2 was found to be amplified in 7 of 8 breast cancers cell lines analyzed, and qPCR analysis of 30 breast tumors showed overexpression of TYW2 mRNA of over 2-fold in 26, suggesting that TYW2 may play a role in breast cancer.

Human LY6H is synthesized as a 140 amino acid precursor that contains a 25 amino acid signal sequence, 20 amino acid propeptide that is removed in the mature form, and a 90 amino acid mature chain. LY6H is highly expressed in the brain (cerebral cortex, amygdala, hippocampus and subthalamic nucleus) and in acute human leukemic cell line MOLT-3. It is also found in lower levels in testis, pancreas, small intestine and colon. It has been shown that LY6H may play a role in both the central nervous system and the immune system.

Removal of LIF pushes stem cells toward differentiation, but they retain their proliferative potential or pluripotency. Therefore LIF is used in mouse embryonic stem cell culture. It is necessary to maintain the stem cells in an undifferentiated state, however genetic manipulation of embryonic stem cells allows for LIF independent growth, notably overexpression of the gene Nanog. LIF is not required for culture of human embryonic stem cells.
