A novel cytokine was recently identified in human and mouse and designated IL-21, which has significant homology to IL-2, IL-4, and IL-15. The receptor for IL-21 (IL-21R, also termed NILR for novel Interleukin receptor) is a new member of the class I cytokine receptor family. IL-21R forms a complex with the common cytokine receptor g chain, gc, and mediates IL-21 signaling. IL-21 and its receptor activate JAK-STAT signaling pathway. IL-21 is expressed in activated T cells, and HL-60 and THP-1 cell lines. IL-21 plays a role in the proliferation and maturation of NK, B and T cell populations.

ZIP6 Antibody: The zinc transporter ZIP6, also known as SLC39A6, is a member of a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is an essential ion for cells and plays significant roles in the growth, development, and differentiation. ZIP6 was initially identified as LIV-1, an estrogen-regulated gene that has been implicated in metastatic breast cancer. Elevated ZIP6 expression has also been reported in human cervical cancer and the HeLa cell line; down-regulation of ZIP6 expression in HeLa by RNAi inhibited cell proliferation, colony formation, migration and invasiveness, as well as decreasing Snail and Slug levels, suggesting ZIP6 plays a regulatory role on the ERK1/2-Snail/Slug pathway.

A disulphide-linked heterodimer, consisting of mb-1 (or CD79a) and B29 (or CD79b) polypeptides, is non-covalently associated with membrane-bound immunoglobulins on B cells. This complex of mb-1 and B29 polypeptides and immunoglobulin constitute the B cell Ag receptor. CD79a first appears at pre B cell stage, early in maturation, and persists until the plasma cell stage where it is found as an intracellular component. CD79a is found in the majority of acute leukemias of precursor B cell type, in B cell lines, B cell lymphomas, and in some myelomas. It is not present in myeloid or T cell lines. Anti-CD79a is generally used to complement anti-CD20 especially for mature B-cell lymphomas after treatment with Rituximab (anti-CD20). This antibody will stain many of the same lymphomas as anti-CD20, but also is more likely to stain B-lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia than is anti-CD20. Anti-CD79a also stains more cases of plasma cell myeloma and occasionally some types of endothelial cells as well.

CD107a is also known as Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP-1) and is widely expressed intracellular antigen. SRPX1 Antibody: SRPX1 was initially identified as a candidate gene for X-linked retinitis pigmentosa and is overexpressed in the trabecular network of the eye in glaucoma conditions. Its expression is significantly downregulated in a number cancer cell lines and malignant tumor tissues and its ectopic expression induces apoptosis through the endoplasmic reticulum and the activation of caspase-12, -9, and -3, indicating that it can function as a tumor suppressor. SRPX1 is also involved with the regulation of autophagy under low serum conditions and can associate with Rab24, a member of the Rab GTPase protein family that is involved in autophagy. This association of SRPX1 with Rab24 is enhanced during autophagy.

IL-34 Antibody: Interleukin-34 (IL-34) was identified through a functional screening of a library of secreted proteins after transfection of an embryonic kidney cell line with recombinant cDNAs. Flow cytometry and monocyte viability assays demonstrated increased survival and/or proliferation of monocytes induced by IL-34 and specific binding of IL-34 to CD14+ monocytes. IL-34 is a second ligand to the colony stimulating factor (CSF)-1 receptor in addition to CSF1. Like CSF1, IL-34 stimulates phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 in human monocytes and induces differentiation of bone marrow cells into macrophages.

Natural Cytotoxicity Triggering Receptor 3 (NCR3) along with NKp44 and NKp46 constitute a group of receptors termed “Natural Cytotoxicity Receptors”. They play a major role in triggering NK-mediated killing of most tumour cells lines. NKp30 is a type I transmembrane protein having a single extracellular V-like immunoglobulin domain. NKp30 is selectively expressed both in resting and activated human NK cells. In addition, NKp30 is also involved in NK-mediated induction of dendritic cell (DC) maturation. It has been demonstrated that NK cell activation signalling specifically induces lytic activity against several tumour cell types and synthesis of new NF-κB dependent proteins during the initiation of cytotoxicity.
