Anthrax Lethal Factor Antibody: Anthrax infection is initiated by the inhalation, ingestion, or cutaneous contact with Bacillus anthracis endospores. B. anthracis produces three polypeptides that comprise the anthrax toxin: protective antigen (PA), lethal factor (LF), and edema factor (EF). PA binds to two related proteins on the cell surface; these are termed tumor epithelial marker 8 (TEM8)/anthrax toxin receptor (ATR) and capillary morphogenesis protein 2 (CMG2), although it is still unclear which is physiologically relevant. Following PA binding to its receptor, PA is cleaved into two fragments by a furin-like protease. The bound fragment binds both LF and EF; the resulting complex is then endocytosed which allows the translocation of LF and EF into the cytoplasm. LF is the primary toxin of anthrax and functions as a highly specific protease that cleaves members of the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MAPKK) family near their amino terminus, interfering with MAPK signaling and inducing apoptosis.

HOXB5 belongs to the homeobox family. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, located on different chromosomes, consisting of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. This gene is one of several homeobox HOXB genes located in a cluster on chromosome 17. The exact role of this gene has yet to be determined.This gene is a member of the Antp homeobox family and encodes a nuclear protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain. It is included in a cluster of homeobox B genes located on chromosome 17. The encoded protein functions as a sequence-specific transcription factor that is involved in lung and gut development. Increased expression of this gene is associated with a distinct biologic subset of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and the occurrence of bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) and congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) tissue.

EBI3 Antibody: EBI3 is a subunit in two distinct heterodimeric cytokines: interleukin-27 (IL-27) and IL-35. Like interleukin-23 (IL-23), IL-27 is a recently discovered member of the IL-6/IL-12 family of proinflammatory and immunoregulatory cytokines. It exists as a heterodimer composed of the p40-related protein EBI3 and an IL-12 p35-related protein termed p28. IL-27 is produced after activation by antigen-presenting cells and induces proliferation of naïve but not memory CD4+ T-cells. It acts by binding to its receptor WSX-1 (also known as TCCR) and gp130 which results in the activation of a Jak/STAT signaling cascade, suggesting the IL-27 is involved in the regulation of immune processes. It has been suggested that IL-27 can also be used as a therapeutic agent against cancer as it can also induce tumor-specific anti-tumor activity mediated through CD8+ T-cells, IFN-gamma, and T-bet. IL-35 is composed of EBI3 and the p35 subunit of IL-12 and has been reported to have therapeutic effects against collagen-induced arthritis by expanding the population of regulatory T cells and suppressing Th17 cells. At least two isoform of EBI3 are known to exist.

PLEKHM1 Antibody: PLEKHM1 is a member of the M family of Pleckstrin homolog domain-containing proteins, a group of proteins containing a RUN domain, two pleckstrin homology domains, and a cysteine-rich domain. It was identified through segregation analysis as a cause of osteopetrosis in humans. PLEKHM1 co-localizes with Rab7 to late endosomal/lysosomal vesicles in HEK293 and osteoclast-like cells, with this co-localization dependent on the prenylation of Rab7. Monocytes from a patient homozygous for a mutated form of PLEKHM1differentiated into osteoclasts normally, but failed to form ruffled borders and showed little evidence of bone resorbtion when cultured on dentine discs. Another mutation of PLEKHM1 impaired vesicular acidification and increased TRACP secretion in osteoclasts, suggesting that PLEKHM1 has critical roles in endosomal maturation and may be important in osteoclast-osteoblast cross-talk.
