CRTC2 Antibody: CRTC2, also known as TORC2 (Transducers Of Regulated cAMP Response Element-Binding (CREB)) 2 and the related protein CRTC1 are potent CREB coactivators that are exported from the nucleus in a CRM1-dependent manner via phosphorylation-dependent interactions. Studies suggest that their phosphorylation and nuclear/cytoplasmic shuttling play an important role in the regulation of gluconeogenesis by cAMP. CRTC2 is present in both B and T-lymphocytes and abundantly expressed in the thymus. Its activity is important in regulating the expression of genes involved in cellular energy metabolism while CRTC1 is essential for energy balance and fertility.

Interleukin-22 (IL-22) is a cytokine important for the modulation of tissue responses during inflammation. Unlike the distantly related IL-10, IL-22 does not inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines in monocytes in response to LPS, but it has some inhibitory effects on IL-4 production from Th2 T cells. IL-22 is expressed by both the adaptive arm of the immune system such as CD4 T cell subsets including Th17 cells, as well as by innate lymphocytes such as NK and LTi-like cells. IL-22 is highly expressed in several chronic inflammatory conditions, and studies suggest that IL-22 plays both inflammatory and protective roles.

CHST13 catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to position 4 of the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residue of chondroitin. Chondroitin sulfate constitutes the predominant proteoglycan present in cartilage and is distributed on the surfaces of many cells and extracellular matrices. It transfers sulfate to the C4 hydroxyl of beta1,4-linked GalNAc that is substituted with a beta-linked glucuronic acid at the C-3 hydroxyl. C4ST3 transfers sulfate to the C-4 hydroxyl of beta-1,4-linked GalNAc flanked by GlcUA residues in chondroitin (Kang et al., 2002 [PubMed 12080076]).
