Ephrin Type-A Receptor 7 (EPHA7) is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the Eph family of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases. It contains two fibronectin type-III domains, one protein kinase domain and one SAM (sterile alpha motif) domain. EPHA7 is a receptor for members of the ephrin-A family. Eph receptors are largely expressed throughout the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm of vertebrate embryos. EPHA7 functions as a repulsive guidance molecule during the targeting of retinal axons to the superior colliculus and of neocortical axons to the thalamus. EPHA7 is expressed at a substantial level in most human lung cancers. The high expression of EPHA7 protein may participate in the malignancy transformation, invasion progression and metastasis of primary hepatocellular carcinoma. EPHA7 may involve in smoking related lung carcinogenesis.

Dact2 Antibody: The Wnt signaling cascade is a conserved process in multicellular animals that plays important roles during development and can contribute to cancer and other diseases. Many members of this pathway are also expressed in the postnatal tissues such as brain. One such protein is Dact2, a member of the Dact protein family that was initially identified through binding to Disheveled (Dvl), a cytoplasmic protein essential to Wnt signaling. Dact2 is most prominent during the development of the thymus kidneys, and salivary gland. Dact2 is thought to play a role distinct from that of Dact1 with Dact2 having a greater impact on a beta-catenin-independent process termed planar cell polarity/convergent-extension signaling. Furthermore, Dact2 but not Dact1 can inhibit Nodal signaling by promoting the endocytic degradation of TGF-beta receptors. At least two isoforms of Dact2 are known to exist.

Podoplanin is a type-1 transmembrane protein that belongs to Podoplanin family. PDPN expressed in various specialized cell types throughout the body. It highly expressed in placenta, lung, skeletal muscle and brain, weakly expressed in brain, kidney and liver. In placenta, PDPN expressed on the apical plasma membrane of endothelium, in lung, expressed in alveolar epithelium. PDPN physiological function is related to its mucin-type character. PDPN may be involved in cell migration and/or actin cytoskeleton organization. When expressed in keratinocytes, induces changes in cell morphology with transfected cells showing an elongated shape, numerous membrane protrusions, and major reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, increased motility and decreased cell adhesion. Gamma-amGlycine is an important inhibitory transmitter in the brainstem and spinal cord. Glycine receptors are members of the ligand-gated ion channel family (LGICs) that mediate rapid chemical neurotransmission. The binding of glycine to its receptor produces a large increase in chloride conductance, which causes membrane hyperpolarization. Glycine receptors are anchored at inhibitory chemical synapses by a cytoplasmic protein, gephyrin. Gene targeting in mice showed that gephyrin is required for synaptic clustering of glycine receptors in spinal cord. The glycine receptor has been used to great advantage in the identification of the binding sites for alcohol on the LGIC family of proteins. These receptors have also been extremely useful in studies of synaptic clustering of receptors. During postnatal motoneuron development, the glycine receptor alpha subunit changes from alpha2 (fetal) to alpha1 (adult).
