Interleukin-22(IL-22) is a member of a group of the IL-10 family, a class of potent mediators of cellular inflammatory responses. IL-22 is produced by activated DC and T cells. IL-22 and IL-10 receptor chains play a role in cellular targeting and signal transduction. It can initiate and regulate innate immune responses against bacterial pathogens especially in epithelial cells such as respiratory and gut epithelial cells. IL-22 along with IL-17 likely plays a role in the coordinated response of both adaptive and innate immune systems. IL-22 also promotes hepatocyte survival in the liver and epithelial cells in the lung and gut similar to IL-10. Biological activity of IL-22 is initiated by binding to a cell-surface complex consisting of IL-22R1 and IL-10R2 receptor chains. IL-22 biological activity is further regulated by interactions with a soluble binding protein, IL-22BP. IL-22BP and an extracellular region of IL-22R1 share sequence similarity. In some cases, the pro-inflammatory versus tissue-protective functions of IL-22 are regulated by cytokine IL-17A.

PAK6 Antibody: The p21-activated kinases (PAKs) are serine-threonine kinases that bind to the active forms of Cdc42 and Rac. They are divided into two groups, the first of which include PAK1, 2 and 3, and can be activated by Cdc42/Rac binding. Group 1 PAKs contain an autoinhibitory domain whose activity is regulated by Cdc42/Rac binding. The group 1 PAKs are known to be involved in cellular processes such as gene transcription, apoptosis, and cell morphology and motility. Much less is known about the second group, which includes PAK4, 5 and 6. These proteins are not activated by Cdc42/Rac binding. PAK6 was initially identified as an androgen receptor in a yeast two hybrid screen and was found to be highly expressed in testis and prostate tissues. Later experiments have shown it to be activated by MAP kinase kinase 6 and p38 MAP kinase, suggesting that PAK6 may play a role in the cellular response to stress-related signals.

BANP Antibody: BANP was initially identified as a binding protein to BTG3 in a yeast two-hybrid screen. BANP acts as a tumor suppressor by stabilizing p53 expression and leading to cell cycle arrest. p53 in turn binds to upstream elements of the BANP promoter, thereby forming a feedback loop. BANP is down-regulated in advanced stages of human breast cancer, and its overexpression in breast cancer cell lines inhibits their ability to metastasize by modulating TGF-beta signaling. Furthermore, BANP can modulate NF-kappa B transactivation and can inhibit tumorigenesis by regulating NF-kappa B target genes. Recent experiments have shown that BANP can also repress HIV-1 LTR mediated transcription by tethering the LTR matrix attachment region to nuclear matrix.

Osteoprotegerin (OPG) is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. This protein is an osteoblast-secreted decoy receptor that functions as a negative regulator of bone resorption. This protein specifically binds to its ligand, osteoprotegerin ligand (TNFSF11/OPGL), both of which are key extracellular regulators of osteoclast development. Studies of the mouse counterpart also suggest this protein and its ligand play a role in lymph-node organogenesis and vascular calcification. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of the gene have been reported, but their full length nature has not been determined.
