SATB2 Antibody: Human special AT-rich sequence-binding protein-2 (SATB2) is a nuclear matrix/scaffold-associated region DNA-binding protein. Like its homolog SATB1, SATB2 selectively binds double-stranded, special AT-rich DNA sequences, but is expressed primarily in a subset of postmitotic, differentiating neurons in the neocortex. Mice deficient in SATB exhibit craniofacial abnormalities and defects in osteoblast differentiation and function. SATB2 also interacts with and enhances the activity of Runx2 and ATF4, two transcription factors that regulate osteoblast differentiation, indicating that SATB2 acts as a molecular node in a transcriptional network regulating skeletal development and osteoblast differentiation. Recent experiments have shown that SATB2 interacts with histone deacetylase 1 and metastasis-associated protein 2, two proteins that are involved in chromatin remodeling, suggesting that SATB2 may also be involved in mediating epigenetic influences during cortical development.

The IM7 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with all the isoforms and both alloantigens of the CD44 glycoprotein (Pgp-1, Ly-24). CD44 is expressed on hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, bone marrow myeloid cells, memory T lymphocytes, periphery activated B cells, CD4+ T lymphocytes, and CD8+ T lymphocytes. The periphery B and T lymphocytes upregulate the expression of CD44. CD44 binds to hyaluronan molecules, acting as an adhesion molecule.The IM7 antibody inhibits collagen-induced arthritis in DBA/1 mice, prevents central nervous system inflammation associated with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, but exacerbates the experimental autoimmune thyroiditis in CBA/J mice. The IM7 antibody also cross-reacts with dog, human, pig, horse, cat, and cow leukocytes.

CD2 interacts through its amino-terminal domain with the extracellular domain of CD58 (also designated CD2 ligand) to mediate cell adhesion. CD2/CD58 binding can enhance antigen-specific T cell activation. CD2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, NK cells and thymocytes. CD58 is a heavily glycosylated protein with a broad tissue distribution in hematopoietic and other cells, including endothelium. Interaction between CD2 and its counter receptor LFA3 (CD58) on opposing cells optimises immune system recognition, thereby facilitating communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells.

Carabin Antibody: Antigen binding by the T-cell receptor (TCR) is one of the critical first steps in the immune response, triggering a cascade of signaling pathways that ultimately lead to T-cell activation. Screening a yeast two-hybrid screen of a human T-cell cDNA library with calcineurin, a protein phosphatase involved in multiple signaling pathways including T-cell activation, resulted in the identification of Carabin, a member of the TBC1 domain family of proteins, as a calcineurin-binding protein. Unlike other members of the TBC1 domain protein family which are thought to have a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation, further experiments demonstrated that Carabin is part of a negative regulatory loop for the intracellular TCR signaling pathway as well as an inhibitor of the Ras signaling pathway, suggesting that Carabin may also mediate crosstalk between calcineurin and Ras. Carabin antibody does not recognize TBC1D10A or TBC1D10B. Carabin is known to exist in multiple isoforms.
