Members of this family have helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. SMARCA5 is a component of the chromatin remodeling and spacing factor RSF, a facilitator of the transcription of class II genes by RNA polymerase II.The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. The GL-1 monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with the mouse B7-2 (also known as CD86), a costimulatory molecule expressed by B and T lymphocytes, macrophages (thioglycollate-induced from peritoneum), astrocytes and dendritic cells. The memory CD4+ T lymphocytes express CD86 (as mRNA and protein). CD86, and the B7-1 (CD 80) molecule, are ligands for CD152 and CD28, and influence the costimulatory interactions between lymphocytes B and T. B7-2 is also involved in the mouse natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The GL-1 antibody blocks the mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) and inhibits the T-cells stimulation by antigen-presenting cells. Mixtures of anti-B7-1 antibody and GL-1 were reported to inhibit the interaction between CD125 and its ligand with the in vivo priming of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

ZFP219 Antibody: ZFP219 is a developmentally regulated member of the Kruppel-like zinc finger gene family that is thought to function as a transcriptional repressor. Yeast two-hybrid screening showed association with Sox9, a transcription factor that is essential for chondrogenesis. ZFP219 is specifically expressed in the developing limb buds and colocalizes with Sox9 in the nucleus. Knockdown of ZFP219 expression decreased Sox9-induced mRNA expression, and a dominant-negative mutant of ZFP219 inhibited Bmp2-induced chondrocyte differentiation, suggesting that ZFP219 plays an important role as a transcriptional partner of Sox9 in the regulation of chondrocyte differentiation.

LGI1 Antibody: The leucine-rich, glioma inactivated gene 1 (LGI1) was first identified as a candidate tumor suppressor gene for glioma and may play a role in other cancers. LGI1 is a member of a family of highly related proteins containing leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) which are highly similar to other transmembrane signaling molecules and receptors. LGI1 serves as a ligand to ADAM22, a metalloprotease localized at the synapse. Mutations in LGI1 account for nearly half of autodominant lateral temporal epilepsy (ADTLE), an epileptic syndrome characterized by focal seizures with predominant auditory symptoms. Two isoforms of LGI1 are known to exist, but the top band seen in the western blot is likely to be non-specific. This LGI1 antibody is predicted to be specific to LGI1 and not recognize other LGI proteins.
